New Winter Storm Expected To Bring Snow, Sleet, Rain, Cause Slippery Travel
A new storm headed to the region is expected to bring a mix of snow, sleet, and rain that could cause slippery travel conditions.
The time frame for the system is late Monday night, March 6 into Tuesday morning, March 7, according to the National Weather Service.
Leading up to the storm's arrival, Sunday, March 5 will be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the mid to upper 40s.
Monday will start off with clear skies as the high temperature climbs to around the 50-degree mark.
Clouds will increase at night ahead of the storm's arrival.

A complex new storm on track for the Northeast is expected to bring a mix of rain, sleet, and snow.
Ahead of the arrival of the system, there will be a return to warmer-than-normal temperatures for this time of year Sunday, Feb. 19, and Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 20 into Tuesday, Feb. 21, according to the National Weather Service.

Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands On Long Island; Here's Estimated Restoration Time
A powerful storm packed with damaging winds has knocked out power to thousands across Long Island.
As of around 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, PSEG Long Island is reporting 8,636 without power, with 6,462 customers in the dark in Suffolk, 2,172 in Nassau, and a handful in the Rockaway Peninsula.
The estimated restoration time is 4 p.m. Friday, the company says.

Warnings and advisories are in effect as a potent, fast-moving storm that will bring a mix of snow, significant icing, heavy rain, and damaging gusty winds takes aim on the region.
The time frame for the storm is after nightfall Sunday, Jan. 16 into Monday afternoon, Jan. 17 on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Storm With Gusty Winds Leads To Power Outages On Long Island
A storm system with wind gusts approaching 40 mph has left hundreds of Long Island residents in the dark.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, PSEG Long Island crews were working to repair 42 active outages that were impacting 1,508 of the company’s 1,173,112 customers in both Nassau and Suffolk counties.
The bulk of the outages were reported in Suffolk, where there were 1,499 customers without power, while just nine in Nassau - less than five each in Hempstead, North Hempstead, and Oyster Bay - were reported during the outset of the storm.
