Pedestrians Killed In Separate Crashes Just A Few Minutes Apart In Suffolk County Two pedestrians were killed in separate overnight crashes just a few minutes apart on Long Island. The first incident occurred at the intersection of Route 110 and Conklin Avenue, East in Farmingdale at approximately 10:45 p.m. Fredy Leonel Maldonado, 42, of West Babylon, was crossing Route 110 from east to west at the intersection of Conklin Avenue when he was struck by a southbound 2017 Dodge RAM 1500, Suffolk County Police said.  The driver of the Dodge, a 29-year-old North Massapequa man, called 911 and attempted to render first aid to Maldonado, according to police.
