Greenport Woman Arrested For Falsely Reporting Fire, Police Say A Long Island woman has been arrested for allegedly calling 911 and reporting that she and her house were on fire when there was no fire. Michelle Buckley, age 52, of Greenport, was arrested on Saturday, June 25, for falsely reporting an incident, said the Southhold Police.  According to police, Buckley called 911 and reported that there was a fire in her residence at 420 Carpenter St. and that she too was on fire.  An investigation revealed that there was no fire and Buckley made the fire up in order to garner an emergency response to her residence, the department said. Suffolk Woman, 20, Charged With DWI After Hitting Bicyclist, Police Say A 20-year-old Long Island woman was charged with DWI after she allegedly left the roadway and struck a bicyclist before crashing on Easter Day. Alexis Hubbard, of Greenport, was arrested around 2 p.m., Sunday, April 4,  at the scene of the crash on Route 48 near Albertson Lane, in Southhold, said the Southhold Police. Man Charged With BWI In Suffolk Boat Crash That Killed One, Injured Three An East Northport man has been charged with boating while intoxicated following a powerboat crash that left one woman dead and three others injured.  Francesco Distefano, 48, was charged on Monday, Nov. 11, following the Sunday, Nov. 10 crash that took place around 9:17 p.m. when a 39-foot Cobalt powerboat he was allegedly piloting smashed into a bulkhead fronting on Great Peconic Bay, Southhold Police said. Police discovered the vessel approximately 150-feet from the shoreline with four people on board. The four sustained serious injuries to varying degrees, police said.  There …
