Man Struck, Killed By SUV Near East Patchogue Intersection Police are investigating a fatal crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 in East Patchogue. A 46-year-old East Patchogue woman was driving a 2021 Honda CRV westbound on South Country Road when the SUV struck a 68-year-old man as he was crossing the roadway northbound from South Dunton Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. The man, identified as William Burrows, of Bellport, was transported by South Country Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said police. One Killed, Three Injured After Car Rear-Ends SUV In East Patchogue, Police Say One person was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash in East Patchogue. The crash occurred when a stopped 2012 Infinity Q56 on South Country Road facing westbound at the intersection of North Dunton Avenue was rear-ended by a 2007 Hyundai Elantra traveling westbound at approximately 6:45 p.m. Saturday, June 23, Suffolk County Police said. The driver of the Hyundai, a 62-year-old East Patchogue man, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
