Motorcyclist Injured After Becoming Trapped Under SUV On Sunrise Highway, Police Say A 34-year-old man was seriously injured after crashing his motorcycle and becoming trapped under an SUV on Long Island. The crash took place around 10:38 p.m., Monday, May 17 on the Sunrise Highway (Route 27), in Wantagh, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, the man was driving a Honda motorcycle westbound on Sunrise Highway in the vicinity of Seaford Avenue when he lost control, struck a curb, and became trapped under a Chevy Suburban. Drunk Long Island Woman Crashes Into Police Cruiser On Sunrise Highway, Cops Say A woman who was driving while intoxicated is facing multiple charges after crashing into a police cruiser on Long Island, police said. The incident happened around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 in Wantagh. According to Nassau County Police, an officer was issuing a summons to an uninvolved motorist on eastbound Sunrise Highway, near Seaford Avenue when his marked police vehicle was struck by a 2003 Hyundai which continued driving eastbound on Sunrise Highway, police said.
