Cause Of Death Released For LI Pizzeria Owner In Dominican Republic Details on the death of a longtime owner of a Long Island pizzeria who died in the Dominican Republic have been released. Vittorio Caruso, 56, of Glen Cove died Monday, June 17, shortly after he reportedly drank something and became critically ill in Santo Domingo at the Boca Chica Resort.
