Beginning on Thursday, July 29, construction will begin on a $450 million project to develop 27 service areas on the Thruway, officials announced this week. As of July 29, 10 services areas will be temporarily closed to begin the first phase of the project, though fuel service will remain available at all locations during construction. Suspect Nabbed For Stabbing Of Teen Outside Suffolk County Restaurant An altercation at a Long Island fast food restaurant led to the stabbing of a 17-year-old and the arrest of a teen suspect who allegedly knifed his victim, police said. West Babylon resident Erick Hernandez-Rodriguez, age 19, was involved in an incident with his victim at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Monday, May 3 at Popeyes on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, which spilled outside into the parking lot.
