Violence At East Islip Bar Leads To Drug Arrest Of West Babylon Man, Police Say A Long Island man was nabbed on narcotics charges during a targeted State Liquor Authority check at a busy bar. The incident took place in East Islip around 1 a.m., Sunday, March 19 at the Outfield Pub at 168 Carleton Ave. Following incidents of violence during the last three months at the Outfield Pub, Suffolk County officers, in conjunction with the New York Liquor Authority and the Town of Islip Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement conducted a targeted State Liquor Authority compliance check of the bar. Suspect At Large After Woman Shot At East Islip Pub Police are investigating after a woman was shot overnight at a Long Island bar. The incident happened at around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, in East Islip. That's when a man approached another man inside Outfield Pub, located at 168 Carleton Ave., and pressed a handgun against his body, Suffolk County Police said. A brief altercation ensued causing the gun to discharge striking a female bystander in the neck. The male victim sustained a laceration to the head.  The suspect then fled the scene. The female victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. …
