Oscar Morocho-Morocho, age 31, of Shirley, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Nov. 20, in the death of 34-year-old Ruth Para-Martinez.
The woman was found beaten to death in Shirley, outside the Gr8skates skating rink on The Green, early Monday, May 8, according to Suffolk County Police.

A 34-year-old homeless woman was brutally beaten at the hands of her boyfriend for nearly half an hour before she died outside a Long Island skating rink, prosecutors said.
The alleged killer, 32-year-old Oscar Morocho-Morocho, of Shirley, was formally charged with manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, May 24, in the death of Ruth Para-Martinez.
