Body Of 58-Year-Old Man Found Floating In Water At Long Island Beach, Police Report An investigation is underway after the body of a 58-year-old man was found floating in the water at Jones Beach. The Nassau County Police Marine Bureau responded to a report of a body in the water at the west end of the beach in Wantagh at about 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, the Nassau County Police Department said. Police pulled the man's body out of the water and found that he was unconscious and was not breathing, NCPD said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Man Found Dead Floating On Water On Long Island Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the water on Long Island. The 75-year-old man found floating in on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. on Reynolds Channel in Long Beach and the body was recovered by Nassau County Police Marine Bureau Boat Six.  The man was pronounced dead by a Long Beach Fire Department Medic at scene.  The aided had been previously reported as a Missing Person by Long Beach Police.  The identity of the man has not yet been released. The 73-year-old man was found by a police diver around 9 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Old Westbury, said the Nassau County Police. The 38-year-old man from Queens suffered a medical episode while jet skiing in Sands Point at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2 when he was found face down in the water by a witness. Nassau County Police Marine Bureau received a call for a medical emergency in the Merrick Bay on Saturday, July 11 at around 5 p.m. in Merrick. Upon arrival, NCPD Marine Bureau 5 discovered the man suffering from a leg injury. The man was transported to a local hospital with the assistance of the Bay Constable.
