Long Island Man Arrested 46 Times, Nabbed For 10 Larcenies
A Long Island man who police say has been arrested 46 times has been charged with 10 new larcenies across the region.
Emmitt Smith, age 43, of Bellport, was charged on Wednesday, April 24, with the larcenies that occurred across Nassau County, according to Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of Smith for the following larcenies:

Three women are facing charges after their alleged attempt to steal from a Long Island shopping mall was foiled by police, according to authorities.
Officers were called at around 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, with reports that two women had stolen merchandise from the Macy’s store in East Garden City, located in the Roosevelt Field mall, Nassau County Police said.
When officers arrived, they immediately arrested 32-year-old Samantha Signorelli, of Freeport, and 25-year-old Michele Brown, of Baldwin.

A Long Island woman has been arrested after she allegedly stole merchandise from Macy's and threatened an employee with a knife.
According to the Suffolk County Police, Teshara Trent, age 31, of Patchogue, was apprehended on Tuesday, Jan. 25, for charges of robbery and grand larceny.
Trent was first arrested on Sunday, Oct. 31, for grand larceny after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 in merchandise from the Macy's at Smithaven Mall in Lake Grove, police said.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade To Return 'Live' This Year
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is returning to the streets of New York City for its 95th celebration after being curtailed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Macy's made the announcement on Wednesday, Sept. 8, saying the parade will be delight crowds once again on Thursday, Nov. 25 beginning at 9 a.m.

Victim In Danbury Mall Shooting May Have Been Involved In Melee, Police Say
A 15-year-old who was shot inside a Fairfield County mall was likely part of the altercation that took place between at least eight people with another group, according to authorities.
The teen, who remains unidentified, has been transferred to Connecticut Children's Hospital and is in stable condition, said Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour. Police had originally reported her age as 16.

Two Long Island men were busted allegedly attempting to steal more than $4,000 in merchandise from an area Macy's.
Johnathan Calandra, age 23, of Port Jefferson Station, and William G. Erdogan, age 30, of Franklin Square, were arrested on Thursday, May 27, for the robbery which took at the Macy's in East Garden City.
