Long Island ‘Deepfake’ Porn Producer Sentenced
A Long Island man was sentenced to time behind bars and now must register as a sex offender for creating and sharing "deepfaked" sexually explicit content of women when they were underage. Seaford resident Patrick Carey, age 22, will serve six months in jail and spend 10 years on probation for publishing this information, as well as encouraging others to harass those whose pictures he uploaded, the Nassau County District Attorney announced on Tuesday, April 18.
