Medford Mother Admits Suffocating Twin Toddler Daughters A Long Island mother has admitted to suffocating her twin toddler daughters. Tenia Campbell, age 28, of Medford, pleaded guilty to two counts of murder in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Dec. 11 in connection with the girls’ killings in June 2019. Prosecutors said Campbell’s mother called 911 at around 2:40 p.m. on June 27, 2019, saying Campbell was driving around in the family van threatening to kill her daughters. Mary Mara was 61 years old. On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 8:10 a.m., New York State Police in Jefferson County responded to 33753 Old Farm Road in the town of Cape Vincent for a reported possible drowning.
