Man Forcibly Touches 25-Year-Old Woman On Long Island, Police Say

A Long Island man has been arrested after police claim he touched a woman while she walked down the street.

It happened in North Bellmore on Monday, May 6.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, a 25-year-old woman was walking that day down Evelyn Avenue.

Ronal Ortega-Escalon, age 25 of North Bellmore, allegedly approached the woman, inappropriately grabbing and forcibly touching her.

Detectives found Ortega-Escalon and arrested him on the evening of Tuesday, May 7.

He is charged with two counts of forcible touching.

Ortega-Escalon pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and is next due in Hempstead’s First District Court on Friday, May 17.
