One Seriously Injured In Crash Near Wyandanch Intersection
Police are investigating a crash that left one person seriously injured near a Long Island intersection. It happened Saturday May 21 at about 1:30 p.m. in Wyandanch. A 19-year from Wyandanch was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Mount Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto Lake Drive and struck a crossing pedestrian, Suffolk County Police said. The victim, a 74-year-old Wyandanch man, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. 24-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Wyandanch Crash
Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened just after 11 a.m. Monday, March 21 in Wyandanch. Matthew J. Grinvalsky, age 24, of Lindenhurst, was riding a 1985 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Long Island Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Ford pickup truck being driven by a 52-year-old Wyandanch woman, who was attempting to make a left turn from Lake Drive to westbound Long Island Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. Homicide detectives are looking for a man wanted for questioning in a murder that occurred in July, according to Suffolk County Police. Hugh James was found shot to death in his vehicle after his car crashed into a parked vehicle in Wyandanch on Lake Drive on Wednesday, July 3 at approximately 6:45 p.m., said police. ID Released For Man Found Dead Inside Town Car In Wyandanch
The identity has been released of the man found dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside a commercial town car on Long Island. Officers responded to 103 Lake Drive in Wyandanch after a 911 caller reported hearing a crash at approximately 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 3.
