Border Patrol Agents Nab Man Convicted Of Rape On Long Island A Mexican national convicted of raping a young girl on Long Island was busted by border patrol agents attempting to illegally re-enter the country. US Customs and Border Patrol agents in Arizona announced that they took Juan Olarte-Cruz into custody at approximately 11 p.m. on Dec. 10 approximately 20 miles north of the Mexican border. Olarte-Cruz, 42, was convicted of second-degree rape in Nassau County in 2008. At the time of his conviction, he was living in Westbury, where the allegations of rape were raised.
