According to prosecutors, Mr. and Mrs. Monasterolo, ages 51 and 55, respectively, were photographed dumping items from their pickup truck into the wetlands near Jefferson Drive and Grove Road in Mastic Beach in April 2023.…

Suspect Fined, Ordered To Clean Pine Barrens In Suffolk County After Illegally Dumping Trash A man had to clean the publicly-protected pine barrens on Long Island after illegally dumping large amounts of household trash in the area. On Saturday, Aug. 13, authorities identified the individual who was dumping trash in the Pine Barrens, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office reported on Wednesday, Aug. 31. The Sheriff's Office did not release the man's name. Authorities said he was also required to pay a fine.
