The family of a beloved husband and father of four who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Long Island is turning to the community for support following his untimely death. Silvano Posadas, age 35, of Bellport, died Saturday, July 22, when his motorcycle struck a Toyota Matrix stopped at the intersection of Mastic Road and Somerset Avenue in Mastic. At the time, he was riding northbound and the Toyota was stopped, waiting to make a left turn, according to Suffolk County Police. Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Hit-Run Coram Crash
A suspect has been charged in connection to a fatal hit-and-run Long Island crash. The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 in Coram. Edward White, age 53, of Coram was traveling eastbound on a bicycle on the shoulder in front of 50 Middle Country Road, when he was struck by a light-colored SUV that was also traveling eastbound, Suffolk County Police said. White was thrown off the bicycle into the roadway, and was then struck by a 2015 Honda CRV that was traveling eastbound behind the light-colored SUV, said police. The final list of names of those who perished in a massive fire in a New York City apartment building that claimed the lives of 17 people, has been released. The names of the last three victims were released by the NYPD Wednesday, Jan. 12. The youngest was 2 years old. The victims ranged in age from 2 to 50 years old. Worker Killed In Accident At Long Island Construction Site
A worker was killed in an accident at a Long Island construction site. The incident happened around 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15 in Glenwood Landing. Nassau County Police officers responded to a 911 call at 165 Shore Road, where a man was found lying unresponsive on the ground and bleeding from his head. The man, who was 31 years old and an employee working at a construction site, was struck on the head by an unsecured steel beam, said Nassau County Police.
