Police Search For Suspect In String Of Long Island Commercial Burglaries A suspect is wanted by police investigators on Long Island following a string of commercial burglaries. An alert was issued by the Nassau County Police Department for a suspect who targeted three businesses in Hempstead on Monday, Jan. 13. According to police, the suspect entered the businesses by throwing rocks through the front door and removing cash registers from the locations. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
