Brothers From NY Charged For Roles In Jan. 6 Attempted Coup Two brothers from the Hudson Valley have become the latest in the region to be arrested and charged for their roles in the insurrection at the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6. Putnam County residents Greg Richard Purdy, Jr., a Carmel High School graduate, and Matthew Purdy, both of Kent, were arrested earlier this month following an investigation into social media posts made by the latter, bringing the total arrested for their roles in the arrested coup from the region up to 12. Richard Hake, Popular Wnyc Radio Host, Dies Suddenly At 51 Hudson Valley native Richard Hake who helped wake up New York during his show on WNYC, the city's public radio station for more than 28 years, died suddenly on Friday, April 24, of natural causes.
