A University at Albany student remains hospitalized with serious injuries after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver on a dirt bike. Long Island resident Alexa Kropf, age 18, of Floral Park, was hit at around midnight Saturday, April 27, while walking along Hudson Avenue, just blocks from the UAlbany campus. A man who was brutally attacked with a sword at a New York homeless shelter has been identified as the gunman in a 2004 shooting at an upstate high school, according to News10 in Albany. Police said a 34-year-old man suffered severe injuries when another man struck him several times with a sword at the Capital Connections Drop-In Center in Albany on Monday, Aug. 29. Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Popular Chef In Upstate NY
Police have arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing an up-and-coming chef in the Capital District. Marquis Jackson, age 34, of Albany, was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, Albany Police said. Investigators believe Jackson stabbed 31-year-old Tyrome Wallace multiple times during an altercation inside a home on Washington Avenue Monday night, May 16. 19: Elective Surgeries To Be Halted At 32 NY Hospitals
With the number of new COVID-19 infections continuing to surge, and the number of unvaccinated patients being treated for the virus occupying hospital beds, some parts of New York are being forced to cancel or postpone certain elective procedures. As the Omicron variant of the virus spreads, New York Gov.
