Long Island Woman Killed By Her Own Dog In Backyard Attack
A 70-year-old New York woman was killed by the family's 100-pound pit bull that was later killed by police. The Long Island incident took place in the hamlet of Albertson in North Hempstead on Wednesday, July 27 around 1:20 p.m. in the backyard of a home on Terrace Court. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said during a news conference the woman's husband came home and found the dog attacking his wife in the backyard. The identity has been released of a 20-year-old who was found fatally stabbed near a Long Island intersection in broad daylight. Officers responded to a 911 call for a man stabbed in Hempstead in the vicinity of Brown Avenue and Kennedy Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, Nassau County Police said. Man Dies After Being Found Critically Injured In East Patchogue Parking Lot
A man has died nearly a week after he was found critically injured on Long Island. Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call of a man found on the ground in East Patchogue in the parking lot of 770 Montauk Highway on July 17 at approximately 12 a.m. Friday, June 17 It was determined that the man suffered a head injury, according to police. Man Found Dead On Long Island Roadway
An investigation is underway after a man was found dead on a Long Island roadway. Officers responded to a 911 call for a man lying in the street in Uniondale at Alexander Avenue and Lee Road at around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10. Upon police arrival, the man was pronounced dead by a Nassau County Police Medic. The investigation into this incident continues. Neither the man's age nor identity has been released.
