Police responded to Victoria’s Secret in Oceanside, located at 3527 Long Beach Road, Friday, June 10, at 3 p.m. for multiple larcenies that occurred in June.

While a Loss Prevention Officer was reporting the prior incidents, the woman responsible entered the store, began to take store merchandise and concealed it in the front of her pants, according to police.

The woman exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise, said police.

Officers went to place the subject under arrest when she tensed up, became uncooperative and refused to comply with them, police said.

The subject was subdued and prior to being placed into a police vehicle, kicked one officer in her left knee and spit at a second officer’s face, said police.

Angela McCallum, age 45, of Rockville Centre, was arrested and transported to the Fourth Precinct for processing.

The female officer suffered pain and swelling to her knee, said police. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.

McCallum was charged with:

  • Second-degree assault,
  • Fourth-degree grand larceny,
  • Resisting arrest,
  • Five counts of petit larceny and harassment.

She is due to be arraigned on Saturday, June 11 at First District Court, Hempstead.
