A Long Island staple known for its mondo burritos is offering one lucky winner a year of free meals — but only if they can win an eating contest.

The newest Moe’s Southwest Grill on Long Island, located at 713-761 Sunrise Highway in West Babylon, will host a mini burrito-eating contest for its opening weekend on Saturday, Sept. 30, the restaurant announced.

The event, which will take place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., costs $5 to participate.

During the hourlong event, each contestant will be given the same amount of mini burritos (Moe’s is keeping the amount top secret until the contest, it seems) and will have just five minutes to chow down on as many as they can.

Whoever eats the most burritos in their entirety – “not a shred of lettuce or a bean left behind!” the chain restaurant said – will be the recipient not only of bragging rights but a year’s supply of free Moe’s burritos.

The contest is only for people 18 years and older who sign a release waiver. Tickets cost $5 each.

Moe’s burrito battle is part of its grand opening weekend "Family Fun Day" event, which will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 and will feature a DJ, kids activities, and more.

The West Babylon location of Moe's is set to open on Thursday, Sept. 28.
