Ulster County resident Shane Burr, of Highland, was charged on Monday, Oct. 2 and charged with burglary and petit larceny. The unidentified woman was found in Dutchess County around 10 a.m., Monday, April 10 near the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the city of Poughkeepsie. Sheriff's deputies responded to the area after receiving a report of a possible body in the river near the Mid-Hudson Bridge, said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Man Found Dead In Vehicle On Side Of Area Roadway, Police Say An area man was found dead in a vehicle on the shoulder of a roadway. The incident took place around 7:39 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 23, on Upper Grant Street in Highland in Ulster County, when the Town of Lloyd Police responded to a call of a deceased man. When officers arrived on the scene they found a 65-year-old Highland man dead in the driver's seat of his vehicle on the shoulder of the roadway, said Town of Lloyd Chief of Police James Janso. No foul play is suspected.  The cause is death is believed to be natural/medical pending an autopsy report, Janso said.

It happened on Saturday, July 11 in Ulster County at about 3:45 a.m. on Route 9W and North Riverside Road in the town of Lloyd. An investigation revealed that Orange County resident Leon P. Dominick Teroni Jr., 45, was arrested by Town of Lloyd Police after he was accused of entering another person's home and stealing the jewelry, Town of Lloyd police said. Teroni was charged with felony burglary, grand larceny, and petit larceny. He was arraigned before the Town of Lloyd Judge Eugene Rizzo and is being held at the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Sex Offender Staying At Area Hotel Faces Felony Charge A Level 3 sex offender is behind bars after police say he failed to report an address change. Charles G. Muenster of Newburgh was found staying at America's Best Value Inn on Route 9W in Highland for several weeks after failing to notify police of his address change, Town of Lloyd Police said. Muenster was arrested Thursday, March 21 and charged with sex offender failure to report address change, a Class D felony (prior conviction). He was arraigned in Town of Lloyd Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail. He is due back in court on Tuesday, March 26.

Cooper of Poughkeepsie was arrested Friday, Oct. 12 following an investigation by the Town of Lloyd Police, said Lt. James Janso. Cooper, who was charged with felony grand larceny and felony forgery, is accused of forging and cashing checks in excess of more than $6,000 from an 82-year-old Highland woman over the course of the six months she was employed as a home health aide, Janso said. Cooper was released following arraignment and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18.

Kristen L. Dicken, 40, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 16, after obtaining narcotics by using a false prescription at the Rite Aid store in Highland, said Lt. James Janso.  Dickens was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of felony forgery, Janso said. Theodore R. Hayes was arrested around 8 p.m. Dec. 31 after he attempted to flee the scene of a larceny and then tried to hit the victim with his car, according to Lt. James Janso of the Town of Lloyd Police. Hayes was arraigned and released following the incident.
