Don't Fall For It: Rental Scams Targeting Medford Residents; Suspects Sought Police are warning house hunters to be on the lookout for scammers who are targeting would-be renters on Long Island. The warning comes after Suffolk County Police learned of two rental scams that occurred in Medford in March 2023. It started when a man hung up a flyer advertising a Medford home for rent at the Laundry Kingdom, located on Medford Avenue, on March 12, police said. Seen Her? 15-Year-Old Ridge Girl Missing For Days Police are seeking tips after a 15-year-old Long Island girl was reported missing. Shyma Dahoui, age 15, was last seen at around 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, outside her home in the hamlet of Ridge, located on Valley Forge Court, according to Suffolk County Police. The teen is described as being approximately 5-feet tall and 115 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. Body Of Missing 63-Year-Old Found In Area River The search for a missing 63-year-old man from the region ended in tragedy when he was found dead in a local river. Emergency crews in Schenectady County recovered a body in the Mohawk River in Niskayuna on Thursday, May 25, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. The body was determined to be that of Gary Clemmons, of Ballston Spa, who hadn’t been seen since Monday, May 22. He was reported missing two days later.
