One Dutchess County high school broke into the latest top 100 "Best Schools" list recently published by U.S. News & World Report. U.S. News' rankings emphasize student outcomes, using information on graduation rates and state assessments for more than 20,500 schools nationally. Spackenkill High School in Poughkeepsie was ranked 99th statewide in this U.S. News survey. Spackenkill High School was ranked 986th nationwide among America's Best High Schools. There is no shortage of Hudson Valley high schools that are among the best for athletes in New York, according to a new list released by Niche.com.
