The killing happened at around 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, near Albany’s Bleecker Stadium, near Ontario and First streets. Albany Police said officers were called about a shooting and found evidence consistent with gunfire when they arrived. As detectives were investigating the incident, they learned that a 34-year-old gunshot victim had been dropped off at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Musician's Shooting Death In Region Leads To Murder Charges For 20-Year-Old A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder months after allegedly gunning down a musician in the region. Saratoga County resident Jeff Henderson, of South Glens Falls, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in Albany County Court on Thursday, Sept. 14, in the death of Benjamin Rowe. According to prosecutors, Henderson fatally shot Rowe at around 2 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Albany, near Hamilton and Ontario streets. Rowe was 25 years old. 4-Year-Old Hit By Car Outside McDonald's In Region A young child is doing okay after being struck by a car in the region. The incident happened at around 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, in Albany, near the intersection of Sherman and Ontario streets. According to Albany Police, a 4-year-old boy ran into the roadway while his mother was unloading items from her car and was hit by a vehicle. The boy was not injured and was taken to Albany Medical Center out of precaution. The incident happened just outside of a McDonald's.

Albany Police officers were called at around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, June 25, with reports of a shooting near Myrtle Avenue and Philip Street, one block east of the governor’s mansion. When emergency crews arrived, they found 28-year-old Deandre Morrison, of Albany, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Morrison was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
