The license of a popular restaurant in the region has been suspended for allegedly selling alcohol to minors. Ulster County's P&G Restaurant at 91 Main St., in New Paltz license was suspended on Thursday, March 31 by the State Liquor Authority (SLA) following a visit on Friday, March 15. During the visit, investigators from the SLA, New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office conducted a compliance inspection following numerous complaints of underage drinking. Nearly Dozen ‘Ghost Cars’ With Phony, Switched Plates Removed From Area Streets
With no way to track them, they’re the perfect mode of transportation for would-be criminals. Nearly a dozen so-called “ghost cars” – those with either phony or switched license plates – were removed from Albany city streets on Friday, Feb. 23, according to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple. With the arrival of fall, there is an increased risk of crashes involving deer, both the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) are warning motorists. As Halloween approaches, officials are taking measures to ensure that New Yorkers can have a safe and scary-good time. Starting Friday, Oct. 27, and lasting through Tuesday, Oct. 31, Gov. If you haven't gotten your REAL ID or enhanced driver's license yet, it may be time to head to the DMV. Officials have just issued a reminder to New Yorkers that they will soon need the updated form of identification if they want to board a commercial flight using their driver's license. New York has a plan to address the growing shortage of school bus and truck drivers that has plagued the state of late. Under the plan presented by New York Gov. A man is facing charges after police say he was caught driving without a court-ordered ignition interlock device in Putnam. A Putnam County Sheriff allegedly observed the driver from Orange County commit a traffic violation on Route 9 in the Town of Philipstown on Thursday, April 4 around 7 p.m. The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as 35-year-old Corey Prentice of Newburgh, according to police. A Putnam man who is facing drug charges after police stopped his vehicle was allegedly driving with a suspended license, the Putnam County Sheriff says. Thursday, Feb. 14 around 11 a.m., police initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle commit a series of traffic violations on Haviland Drive and Doansburg Road in the Town of Patterson. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has become the first in the nation to pilot a new program utilizing technology to crack down on underage drinking. New York State Gov. A Westchester County man is facing felony drug charges after running out of gas in Putnam County and being busted with more than five pounds of marijuana and concentrated cannabis.
