A busy road near a Westchester County high school is closed following a multi-car crash, authorities announced. A longtime Westchester County firefighter from Connecticut who dedicated himself to serving others for seven decades is being remembered for his selflessness and bravery. Fairfield County resident Richard Nickerson of Greenwich died on Sunday, Sept. 1 at the age of 92 with his family by his side, according to his obituary. Rye Brook resident Raymond Nethercott, the most senior member of the Port Chester Fire Department's Washington Engine & Hose Co. #4, died on Wednesday, June 26 at the age of 92, according to his obituary.
