Clintons Buy Next-Door Neighbor's Chappaqua Home For $1.16 Million CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua's most prominent residents have made a de facto expansion to their property by acquiring their next-door neighbor's parcel. A public filing from the Westchester County Clerk's office shows that Hillary and Bill Clinton acquired the property from Charles Chepigin for $1.16 million. The purchase also included $16,240 in taxes and $190 in recording fees. The purchase closed in August, the filing shows. Pawling High School Celebrating Homecoming With Parade, Haldane Faceoff PAWLING, N.Y. -- Pawling High School is holding its annual homecoming festivities this week, which will be capped off with a parade on Friday in the village and a Saturday varsity football game against Haldane. The parade is is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be held in the village of Pawling. It will commence at Memorial Avenue and end at Pawling Elementary School's parking lot, where a bonfire will be held. Judge Nixes Lawyer's Bid To ID Mom Of Chappaqua Student Sex-Abuse Accuser CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- A state Supreme Court judge has denied a request from a lawyer representing the Chappaqua Central School District to have the mother of a student sex-abuse accuser publicly identified in a lawsuit pertaining to former Horace Greeley High School drama teacher Christopher Schraufnagel. Superintendent OK'd Controversial Defense In Chappaqua Sex-Abuse Lawsuit CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Chappaqua Superintendent Lyn McKay said she was the one who signed off on a controversial legal defense in a lawsuit against the school district pertaining to sex-abuse allegations against a former teacher. Byrne Wins GOP Primary For Assembly Seat Covering Somers, Yorktown CARMEL, N.Y. -- Kevin Byrne has prevailed in the Republican primary for the 94th state assembly district race. Unofficial results from the New York State Board of Elections show Byrne, a first responder and volunteer for previous GOP members of Congress, easily defeating Carmel Town Councilwoman Suzi McDonough by a margin of 2,503 votes (60.02 percent) to 1,633 (39.16 percent).
