Police are searching for a suspect after a 22-year-old man was shot on a street in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 11:45 a.m., Saturday, June 8, in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to the city of Poughkeepsie Police, officers responded to the area of Main Street and N White Street to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located numerous spent shell casings but no victims. An alleged fentanyl dealer was busted by a drug task force after receiving resident complaints and recent overdoses in the region. Orange County resident Jermaine Boykin, age 46, of Newburgh, was arrested on Tuesday, June 4, in Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County District Attorney’s OAttorney's Task Force agents had been investigating the sale of fentanyl and crack cocaine in the area of Kennedy Fried Chicken located at 472 Main St. in the city of Poughkeepsie. Man, 55, Found Shot Dead In Parking Lot In Region
Police are searching for a suspect after a 55-year-old man was found shot dead in a parking lot in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10:20 p.m., Saturday, June 1, in the area of 472 Main St., in Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Matt Clark of the City of Poughkeepsie Police, responding officers found the man at the top of the parking area. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where he later died, Clark said. Police have not identified the victim. Two police officers were injured after allegedly being hit by a red Lexus that fled the scene during a traffic stop in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Sunday, May 12, at Main and Church Streets in the City of Poughkeepsie. According to Poughkeepsie PD Det. Sgt. Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help locating a missing man last seen by his family five days ago.
