Woman Dies After Falling 15 Feet Into Creek In Region While Having Picture Taken A 42-year-old woman died after falling down a 15-foot embankment into a creek in the region while having her picture taken. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 18 in the city of Beacon. According to Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson, of the Beacon Police, the unidentified Beacon resident, was last seen falling into Fishkill Creek in the area of 50 Leonard St. An immediate search of the creek by police and fire led to the discovery of the woman by the City of Beacon Fire Department personnel.  The victim was unconscious and unresponsive. Woman Falls 50 Feet To Her Death While Doing Yardwork In Region, Police Say An 83-year-old woman from the region was killed after falling 50 feet fell down an embankment while doing yardwork. The accident took place in Ulster County in the Town of Esopus around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31. The woman was found when deputies responded to a home on New Salem Road for the report of an elderly woman who had fallen down an embankment, said Lt.
