Michael Brown, who lived in Re Hook and New York City, an interior designer who helped designate 117 New York City interiors as landmarks, died Thursday, June 16, due to lymphoma., reports The New York Times. He was 78. Appointed to the Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1977, he was instrumental in helping interior landmarks obtain protection by the committee.
