Brewster's Spotlight Arts Presents 'Winter Wonderland Cabaret' BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Spotlight Arts is seeking students who would like to perform in “Winter Wonderland Cabaret!” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Studio Around the Corner in Brewster.Spotlight Arts encourages students to sign up for duets instead of solos so more students can be involved. The group is also looking for two students to be masters of ceremonies of the event. State Issues Citation To Tilcon's Haverstraw Quarry HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- State environmental regulators have issued a citation against Haverstraw Quarry operator Tilcon New York, according to a report on lohud.com.  The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued the citation Oct. 27 after inspectors responded to complaints of noise, dust and mud discharge into the Hudson River, the story said.  A Tilcon spokesman said the company has addressed all the allegations, according to the story.  To read the full report, click here.

Police Probe Homicide Of Newborn Boy In Livingston LIVINGSTON, N.Y. -- New York State Police are seeking information about a dead baby whose body was found Friday in a dumpster in Livingston.  A caller informed state police about 3:40 a.m. Friday that he suspected the presence of a baby outside the XtraMart at Bells Pond in Livingston. Troopers went to the business about 3:50 a.m. but failed to find a child, police said.  State police later received further information that led to the discovery of a newborn male in a garbage bag in a dumpster. Emergency medical technicians from the Greenport Rescue Squad arrived and determined that the baby…
