Police Use Narcan To Rescue Ramapo Overdose Victim A Rockland County overdose victim was saved by the quick work of a police officer who administered Narcan. The incident took place on Monday, Jan. 4, when a Ramapo Police officer responded to a call in the Village of Sloatsburg for a reported heroin overdose.  Upon arrival, the officer located a 25-year-old man who was unresponsive and was not breathing, Ramapo Police said. Man Arrested For DWI/Drugs Following Stop For Headlight Violation In Rockland An Orange County man was arrested for DWI/Drugs after being stopped by police for a headlight violation. The 30-year-old Warwick man was arrested around 10:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, after being stopped by a Ramapo Police officer for a headlight violation on Orange Turnpike in the Village of Sloatsburg.  During the stop, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle as he approached to speak with the driver, police said. Hudson Valley Will Get $24.2M In Funding For Transportation Enhancements Citing a desire to improve air quality statewide, the Hudson Valley will receive $24.2 million in new funding for three projects that will support bicycle and pedestrian transportation.
