Home Heavily Damaged After Fire Breaks Out In Hudson Valley A house was heavily damaged after an overnight fire in the Hudson Valley. The blaze broke out at around 8:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 in Rockland County, at Regina Court in the hamlet of Blauvelt. Emergency responders found the house to be fully involved in flames upon arriving at the scene, according to the Orangetown Police Department. Fire Breaks Out At Aluf Plastics In Orangeburg A firefighter was injured when an overnight blaze broke out at Aluf Plastics in Orangeburg. The fire began around 2:50 a.m. Sunday in an air filtration system outside the building at 2 Glenshaw St., police said.  Upon arrival, officers found a smoke condition inside the building and discovered a fire inside components of the air filtration system on the east side of the building, police said.  Department of Environmental Conservation was notified to investigate potentially contaminated water runoff from fire department operations into nearby storm drains. Brush Fire Burns Through Orangeburg For Hours More than seven fire departments spent several hours battling a brush fire in Orangeburg after police received a report of "an odor of smoke" in the area, according to the Orangetown Police. The call came in around 4:51 p.m. Wednesday reporting the smell near Tweed Boulevard on Clausland Mountain where responding officers found flames in the area of southwest Nike Lane, said Orangetown Sgt.
