Judge Rejects Plea To Stop Land Sale Near Ramapo's Weldler Park

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A state Supreme Court judge has rejected Ramapo neighbors' efforts to prevent the sale of land they believe is part of Manny Weldler town park, according to lohud.com.

The town of Ramapo is being sued by neighbors of Manny Weldler Park for selling what they say is a piece of parkland.

The judge reportedly decided in support of Ramapo last week, evidently agreeing that the 5.64 acres at 24 Grosser Lane has never been part of Weldler park, despite there being walkways that are paved on the site connected to it, says the report.

The petitioners reportedly appealed the judge's decision Thursday and got a weeklong temporary restraining order to postpone the property's sale, according to lohud.com.
