Crews Start Razing Old Retaining Wall By Thruway In Rockland

NYACK, N.Y. -- Crews began tearing down a retaining wall along the state Thruway in Nyack on Monday as part of the Tappan Zee Bridge project, according to a report in lohud.com.

Work will continue on new noise barriers along the highway between River Road and the South Broadway bridge in Orangetown, lohud.com reported.

The bridge’s on-ramp from Exit 10 will be closed Wednesday night to allow for work on the span’s new toll-collection system, reported lohud.com.
