Demolition of the wooden and brick building and several neighboring structures began in May, according to lohud.com, which reported that developers intend to build a five-story building containing as many as 90 luxury apartments on the site.

The Hotel, built in 1933, is the final of four buildings to come down on the 1.4-acre site, according to lohud.com, which reported that cleanup on the grounds is expected to last through July.
