A pregnant woman was hospitalized in critical condition after a car rolled down a Hudson Valley driveway and struck her, pinning her underneath it, police said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Nov. 10 around 5:50 p.m., when police responded to an address on Fenwood Road in Mahopac on a report of a pregnant woman being pinned underneath a car, according to Carmel Police Lt. The elder sister of former President Donald J. Trump has died while in hospice care in New York, a source with direct knowledge told Daily Voice early Monday morning, Nov. 13. Maryanne Trump Barry, a Queens native and retired federal judge, died over the weekend from cancer while in hospice care in New York City, the source said. She was 86. Violent Crime Down Across NY Compared To Last Year, New Report Shows
New York state is seeing fewer incidents of violent crime, according to a new report. Data from the first comprehensive overview of crime trends across the state showed a six-percent drop in violent crime outside of New York City during the first half of 2023 compared to the first six months of 2022, Gov. IKEA is expanding a recall of a brand of mirrors due to a laceration hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the plastic fittings of the recalled IKEA LETTAN mirrors that attach to the wall can break, causing the mirror to fall, posing the risk of laceration to consumers.
