48-Year-Old Hudson Valley Police Detective Dies Suddenly A 48-year-old member of a police department in Westchester has died suddenly. The detective, a 16-year veteran with the Yonkers PD, died on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19 in New York City after he apparently suffered a medical event while operating a motor vehicle in New York City, according to preliminary indications, the department announced Monday morning, Feb. 20. Town Of Poughkeepsie Police Search For TD Bank Robbery Suspect Town of Poughkeepsie police are searching for a man who robbed the South Road TD Bank branch in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Police said the robbery took place at 9:27 a.m. Thursday when the man walked into the bank at 1850 South Road and demanded money by passing a note to a teller, said Capt. Kevin Faber. The man indicated he had a gun but did not display one, he added.
