Woman Found Dead On Route 202 In Cortlandt Police are asking the public for help in the investigation of the death of a woman whose body was found on a busy road in the area last month. The woman was discovered in Northern Westchester on Wednesday, April 29, on Route 202 (Crompond Road), near the Bear Mountain parking area, in Cortlandt, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Identified as Barbara E. Berkowitz, 71, of Brooklyn, investigators have been unable to find any family members or establish a link to the area, Hicks said. Bomb Threat Causes Closure Of College In Hudson Valley A non-specific bomb threat made to a Berkeley College campus forced the college to close all of its campuses for several hours, including its Westchester campus. The well-known college has campuses in Manhattan and Brooklyn, as well as four in New Jersey, and in White Plains at 99 Church St.  According to Berkeley spokeswoman Ilene Greenfield, a call was received around 7:45 a.m. Friday at the Woodland, N.J., campus with the caller making an unspecific bomb threat.
