Concerned Citizen Scares Away Men In Van Who Approached Girl In Old Greenwich, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are searching for two men in a white van who allegedly attempted to get a 12-year-old girl to get into their van. The incident took place in Old Greenwich on Monday, Aug. 22, around 3 p.m. in the area of Sound Beach Avenue and Center Drive. 10-Year-Old Riding Bike Struck By Vehicle Near School In Greenwich A 10-year-old child riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle near the Old Greenwich School. The incident took place around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, Tuesday, on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. The child, a Greenwich resident,  suffered minor non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Stamford Hospital for evaluation, police said. The operator of the vehicle was not charged,  Slusarz said. Officials remind motorists to use care in the area around the school which is busy with drop-off, bicyclists and people walking.
