PORT CHESTER, N.Y. Louise Rende, a longtime resident of Port Chester, died Aug. 15. She was 90.
Rende was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Montefalcione, Italy to Anthony and Lucia Cataldo. She was married Anthony Rende, who predeceased her. Rende also was predeceased by a son, Peter. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and was long revered as the family matriarch.
She is survived by a daughter, Patty, of Florida; two sons, Joseph, of Bedford, and Anthony, of Port Chester; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Port Chester. Gunipero-Farenga Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
