The event is set for 1 p.m. Jan. 4 at Clay Art Center at 40 Beech St. in Port Chester. For the past 13 years, the two groups have hosted the event to raise awareness about hunger.
"Each year artists and students donate their time and energy to create bowls, which are then glazed, fired and sold at the Empty Bowls event," representatives said.
Local artists interested in contributing bowls to the event are asked to bring bowls to the event. For more information, residents can visit the Clay Art Center website.
