Norwalk Teen Charged With Creating 'Hit List' NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk High School student was arrested and charged by police on Saturday, and accused of compiling a hit list of students, according to The Hour. The teenager was charged with 29 counts of breach of peace, one for each student on the list, The Hour said. The arrest came after the Norwalk Police Department’s Special Victims Unit investigated a complaint from January about a letter that had threatened a number of students, reported The Hour. Rhinebeck Police Aid In Arrest Of Man Wanted In Mexico RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Rhinebeck police aided federal officers on Thursday in the arrest of a man wanted in Mexico, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Juan Macario Martinez, 24, was arrested on a felony warrant for extradition to Mexico, the Journal noted. Police helped the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Schenectady Police Department Capital District Safe Streets Task Force Gang Unit, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal. Upper Nyack Homeowners Find Venomous Snake In Yard CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – Clarkstown police are alerting local residents after homeowners in Upper Nyack discovered a venomous copperhead snake in their yard. Police warn to stay away from these snakes, as they can kill humans. Authorities should be contacted if the snake doesn't move on its own. There are venomous snake responders licensed by the state who can remove the snake safely.

Marijuana, Cannabis Oil Found On Stony Point Man STONY POINT, N.Y. – A Stony Point man was arrested Monday after police discovered he was in possession of marijuana and cannabis oil during a traffic stop. Joseph Kourabas, 28, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on June 13 after he was found with 10.3 grams of marijuana, five cartridges of cannabis oil and a suspended license, according to police. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Stony Point Justice Court on August 2.

Brookfield Man Charged With Trying To Steal Shoes From Bob's In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. – A Brookfield man was arrested by Danbury police and charged with attempting to rob Bob's Stores Saturday night, according to the Danbury News-Times. Bosko Ragmere Radonjich, 37, attempted to push past security guards with a pair of boots and was held down until police arrived, the News-Times said. State Assembly Approves Measure Allowing Owners To Be Buried With Pets The New York State Assembly approved a measure last week that would allow pet owners to be buried with their animals if they choose, according to lohud.com. The state Senate approved the bill unanimously back in March, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo would have to sign it into law, lohud.com said. Pet owners would have the option to be buried with their loved ones, provided that animal remains haven't been buried yet, reported lohud.com.
