Sewage Discharge Prompts Beach Closures In Westchester: Here's Where Health officials have closed two beaches in Westchester as a result of an ongoing sewage discharge.  The two beaches, both located in Larchmont, were shut down by the county's Health Department on Thursday, Aug. 8 due to a sewage discharge from the Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities Beach Avenue Pump Station.  The beaches now closed are: Larchmont Manor Park Beach; Larchmont Shore Club Beach. Ramp Between Busy Interstates In Westchester To Close: Here's When, Where Transportation officials are warning travelers to watch out for a ramp closure affecting the route between two busy interstates in Westchester during an upcoming morning commute. The Interstate 287 westbound ramp to southbound I-95 in Rye and Port Chester will close on Thursday, Aug. 8 between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The ramp will close to allow crews to work on the ongoing replacement of bridges carrying I-287 over Midland Avenue.  Motorists in the area can use the posted detour as an alternate route.
