A Connecticut contractor has been criminally charged in connection to a trench collapse at a construction site in New York that killed a 46-year-old man, officials announced. Injured Worker Rescued From Roof Of Metro-North Facility In Croton-On-Hudson
Emergency responders were called to a Metro-North yard in Northern Westchester to rescue an injured worker from a roof. The incident happened on Tuesday, June 13 just before noon, when firefighters and first responders were sent to the Metro-North Croton-Harmon Yard in Croton-on-Hudson on a report of an injured worker on top of a building. A Hudson Valley Home Depot employee was seriously injured after being trapped under a forklift. The incident took place in Orange County around 1 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, in Monroe. According to Monroe Fire District Chief Rich Lenahan, the fire department responded to the store at 254 Larkin Drive for a call regarding a worker trapped. A 21-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a Metro-North conductor with a pumpkin after being asked for a ticket, the Westchester County District Attorney announced. Bronx resident Alexis Adams was riding the train shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11 when she was confronted by a conductor asking her to produce a ticket, or else leave at the next stop. Highway Worker Struck By Vehicle In Area
A highway worker was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Putnam County. The incident took place around 8:32 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, on Church Hill Road in Kent, said the Kent Police Department. A 56-year-old man was killed after coming into contact with power lines in Northern Westchester, state police said. Troopers were dispatched to Gallows Hill Road in Cortlandt around noon on Sunday, April 28 for a report of a man fallen out of a tree. An investigation found Carlos M. Diaz, 56, of Peekskill, was employed by the homeowner for the purpose of tree trimming, and came into contact with the overhead power lines, according to police. A 25-year-old man performing construction work on a home was seriously injured after falling from a roof. The accident took place around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 132 Kensington Lane in Poughkeepsie, said Arlington Fire District Deputy Chief Bill Steenbergh. A 39-year-old man was killed while removing a tree in the Hudson Valley, according to police. John B. Nuzzolo of Newburgh, who was a sub-contractor for Simply Stump Grinding & Tree Removal, was working about 40-feet above the ground around 9:17 a.m. Monday to remove the tree at 29 Maple Road, said Cornwall-on-Hudson police. 25-Year-Old Dies After Fall From Bucket Truck In Hudson Valley
A 25-year-old man who fell from a bucket truck while working on Monday has died, police announced on Thursday. Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry Thoelen said he was notified late Wednesday by the Orange County Medica Examiner's Office of the death. The man worked for JMH Tree Service, which lists a Middletown address.
