At approximately 12:40 p.m., March 18, Putnam County Sheriff Sergeant William Quick observed an erratically driven vehicle commit traffic violations on Route 301, in the Town of Carmel, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Thursday, Feb. 14 around 11 a.m., police initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle commit a series of traffic violations on Haviland Drive and Doansburg Road in the Town of Patterson. Deputy Shawn Iarussi was dispatched to the Kohl’s store located at 60 Independent Way in the Town of Southeast on Sunday, Feb. 3, on a report of a larceny. Deputy Iarussi worked alongside the Kohl’s Loss Prevention team to identify the suspect as Ronald Caccioippoli of Putnam Lake. Man, Woman Face Separate Charges After Route 22 Stop A man and woman of Brewster are both facing charges following a traffic stop initiated by a Putnam County Deputy Sheriff. The deputy sheriff pulled over a vehicle on Route 22 in Patterson that allegedly committed a traffic violation Tuesday, Nov. 20. Upon further inspection, the deputy learned that the vehicle’s driver, 40-year-old John Covias, had a suspended license in addition to two active warrants out from the Duchess County Sheriff’s Office.
